#Geforce gtx 860m overclock code#GIGABYTE P25Wv2-SP2 Gaming Laptop for $1200, Was $1500, Promo code for $100 off but i'm not sure if that's part of the $300 that's already taken off or if it would bring it down to $1100: I7 4800MQ (2.7GHZ Quad Core, Max Turbo of 3.7GHz) #Geforce gtx 860m overclock series#MSI GT Series GT70 Dominator-895 Gaming Laptop for $1200, Was $1400: Had another look on newegg and added the 880m and 870m to the search and found 3 more results for under $1500, all 3 got the 870m that I would guess is on par with the 680m & 780m therefore the 7970m also? a Open Box MSI with 16GB RAM, i7 4710HQ 1TB HDD & 3x128GB SSD in RAID with a 6GB GDDR5 GTX 870m for $1440, was $1900 but currently listed as out of stock. There's 1 spot in the middle with the 880m for Nvidia mobile and the 660Ti & 760 on the Desktop side, on the AMD side there's the Radeon HD 7870, R9 270 & 270X ![]() #Geforce gtx 860m overclock upgrade#you can upgrade your own storage or ram later when you felt like there is a need for more.Įdited by cheapcamper, 15 December 2014 - 11:53 PM.įYI for comparison, places the 970m with the Desktop GTX 580 & 670 on the Nvidia side, on the AMD side it's Equivalent to the Radeom HD 5970, 7870 LE (XT), 7950, R9 280 & R9 285.īest Mobile GPU on the AMD Side is the 7970m that's in the same place as the Radeon HD 4870 X2, 6970, 7850 & R7 265 on the AMD Side, on the Nvidia Mobile side it's paired with the 680M & 780M and when it come to desktops, the 295, 480, 570, & 660 #Geforce gtx 860m overclock 1080p#you dont really need 4k at 15.6 inch as the Pixel per inch for 1080p is already 140 ish which is very very good. hell i'd buy one if i do not have a clevo labtop a year ago. <-best deal i think, would last you a while with all max/ high settings. Sager NP8652 (Clevo P650SG) 4720hq, (3.6 ghz turbo boost), gtx 980m( equal to desktop gtx 770, powerful!), 8gb ram, 1 tb storage, ips display 1521 usd. if that means minimal ram and storage in the case of sager labtops, do it as sager overprice in memory and ram anyways and you could always add better ram and memory at a cheaper price. trust me you will thank me later in a year or two when you gtx 980m deliver you playable framerates while 850m struggles. Like i said, please save up the extra 200 or 300 dollars. it is not the most accurate index of actual in game performance but it offers a very good brief concept about the value you are getting. so you got to understand what are your priorities and what you can upgrade( ram/memory) versus what you are stuck with once you made the decision( the screen type, cpu, gpu).Īlso, i would suggest go to a website call passmark and check the gpu and cpu score to have a brief understanding of its relative processing power. if you get a gpu/cpu that is barely good enough (850m), chances are it will be obsolete very quickly in a year or two as games are more demanding. even if you choose sager labtop which could be upgraded, the price and the lack of second hand market means it is prohibitively expensive to upgrade( i am talking about an 1000 USD on the new GTX 980M chip on E-bay). ![]() the reason i suggest why it is better to give out extra 300 or more to get a more decent GPU is that you have to understand once you get the labtop, pretty much the only thing you can upgrade is ram and memory. ![]() i think MSI and clevo/sager has options that combined gtx970m with 4710mq.Ĥ710 mq is not a bad cpu at all, it is just that it has low max turbo clock rate (I think 3.5 ghz for a brief while under turboboost) which would make MWO spikes down to about 40 ish framerate sometimes under 1080p mixed settings. In that case, my suggestion is that go for 4710 MQ and gtx 970m. If you want a SSD, you can add a 256GB to the $1499 Build, would raise price to $1749, Was $1899 (Extra $250 for 256GB SSD, Was +$150 on top of that so it used to be $400 for a 256GB SSD) Options are:ĩ80m (970m is greyed out so only available with 4710HQ) There are a few custom options, but what's listed above is cheapest. #Geforce gtx 860m overclock software#Meanwhile, GK104 is pared way back.Another look on newegg, this time a windows with i7 and 970m under $1500, there was 1 result:ĪSUS ROG G751 Series G751JT-CH71 Gaming Laptop for $1499: įree Software bundle with purchase, Limited offer (Intel Software starter pack, $200 Value) The GM107-based version is configured to run at similar clock rates as the card we tested in GeForce GTX 750 Ti Review: Maxwell Adds Performance Using Less Power, albeit with a slightly lower memory frequency. Of course, it's hard to say how both versions compare without having them both on-hand for testing. That’s kind of like reserving a 16-hand gelding for your day at the ranch and arriving to find a Shetland pony. But you'll also find GeForce GTX 860Ms based on the GM107 found in the GeForce GTX 750 Ti. The same we received, of course, employs GK104. Nvidia specifies its GeForce GTX 860M with two completely different GPUs. ![]() Nvidia GeForce GTX 860M Comparative Specs ![]()
